tasks:

During my internship at Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA), a German aerospace startup, I contributed to propulsion production engineering efforts for the company’s first launch. My responsibilities included revising the engine assembly manual, ensuring clarity and accuracy in assembly procedures. I also conducted detailed reviews of traveler steps for 3D-printed engine components, ensuring manufacturing and quality control compliance.

Additionally, I was involved in developing engine checkout procedures for critical tasks such as leak checks, P&ID verification, and sensor validation. I actively participated in engine checkouts for the company’s first flight hardware, gaining hands-on experience with propulsion system validation.

Beyond operational tasks, I conducted hydrostatic and pressure-drop testing of engine components to assess structural integrity and performance. I also explored alternative U-joint designs for potential integration into future engine gimbaling systems, contributing to RFA’s continued development in thrust vector control.

This experience allowed me to apply engineering principles in a fast-paced, startup environment, working on cutting-edge propulsion technology and contributing to RFA’s mission of advancing European space access.
